Is Email Dead?

 

If you've been online for any length of time, you've probably heard that email is dead. It's old-school and no one reads it anymore. 

I have some good news. This is absolutely wrong. 

When it comes to building relationships, nurturing clients and promoting your services, email is the way to do. It is, by far, superior to almost all other forms of marketing. 

Why? 

One, it is personal.

You are speaking to a specific audience and can tailor your message in such a way that they feel seen and heard. We all want to be seen. We want others to acknowledge our needs and desires. Email lets you do that in such a way that your prospects and clients can't help but turn to you for your services. 

Two, it is cost effective.

A solid email marketing campaign will cost you pennies on the dollar compared to many other marketing methods. And the results are measurable in a way that billboards and other techniques are not. You may have heard that the money is in the list. This is true. For law firms, that means you can gain new clients cheaply, retain existing clients for much longer and lower your marketing costs all at the same time.

Finally, it is set and forget.

Email campaigns can be created and uploaded, then run forever. You can focus on evergreen methods that don't have to be babysat. Aside from tracking the effectiveness of your campaigns, email marketing is a pretty hands-off way to increase firm revenue.
